The Kent Test will challenge a range of skills. Gaining familiarity with the types of questions and 'tricks' to answering them will give your child an advantage in the test and give them the confidence to tackle those challenging questions.
I am a teacher with over twenty years experience and have now tutored for 18 years from when my own three children took the Kent Test.
I am fully police checked and can provide details on request.
I have worked with a wide variety of needs and have a great deal of experience supporting neurodivergent minds and pride myself in building confidence in children.
As a parent, teacher and a tutor, I fully understand the pressures for a family in the hopes for ther future and I aim to make your child's learning as enjoyable as possible.
Kent Plus Tuition is based in Canterbury and Thanet.
I offer a one to one service, small groups (max 8) and classroom teaching (max 16). All resources are provided and I can come to your home so your child feels confident in their surroundings. Advice and reassurance to parents comes as standard.

Tailored to the needs of your child. One hour sessions that will build confidence and show how to tackle the questions, use tricks that help them to quickly calculate an answer while reinforcing their learning in school.
All resources provided. Based at your home so that your child feels comfortable and that you can sit in if you wish or ask questions.
Please note: There are limited one to one slots. More places will be available after Christmas.
During the Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays, more slots will become available.
Small groups of 2 to 6 - £25 per child
Currently at Blean Village Hall for small group sessions - Class size up to 6 students.

As a tutor with over 20 years experience, I know the added value of having a mock test.
Having had plenty of experience as a Kent Test invigilator, I know the routines and timings. Simply going through papers at home does fully give the sense of pace that is required on the day and children often make timing errors for the test itself.
Two full papers - Maths & English (Paper 1) and Reasoning (Paper 2) are fully marked and analysed. Parents get a detailed report back within three days.
